The VHS cassette tapes in this collection cover a wide range of topics and genres, including video of events held at the Science History Institute (formerly the Chemical Heritage Foundation), educational films, oral history interviews with scientists, and promotional or documentary materials for various chemical and pharmaceutical companies. This collection is arranged in alphabetical order by creator and, when the creator is not known, by title.

Please note that this collection does not contain all of the VHS cassette tapes held by the Science History Institute. VHS tapes that were donated or acquired within collections of other materials may be found in those collections.

This collection was created by the Science History Institute from tapes acquired as single items, tapes found in collections with unknown provenance, or tapes previously removed from other manuscript collections. Provenance information for individual tapes may be available upon request.

The Science History Institute VHS Collection was created and arranged before 2022 by Science History Instutite staff. A finding aid to the collection was created by Sarah Newhouse in 2022 and two additional boxes of tapes were added (boxes 11 and 12).
